Kalera collaborated with Philips Horticulture LED solutions to equip their new Houston indoor farm with a Philips LED grow light solution. The lighting solution consists of Philips GreenPower LED production modules paired with the Philips GrowWise control system, allowing Kalera to have full flexibility and control over their lighting. The Philips GrowWise control system enables Kalera to create custom light recipes to maximize their energy efficiency and grow fresher lettuce. By also using vertical growing, Kalera was able to a 64,000 square foot warehouse into more than 5 acres of effective growing space.
