Our Story

Hi, I’m Stefan Vogrincic, Managing Director of Grower2Grower.

From a very young age agriculture and horticulture has been part of my life. I grew up on a dairy farm, milking cows and tending to the environment. From there my father and I built a .3 ha glasshouse to grow tomatoes in.

My experience includes over 20 years growing tomatoes, cucumbers, capsicums and eggplants. I have also grown rock melons, lettuce, beans and courgettes. I worked in a sales and advisory role for a leading nursery for several years.

The inspiration to create the website came out of my frustration in finding practical and helpful growing information easily.

The first Grower2Grower website was created in 2014, with only a few growers aware of it. The feedback was positive, and from market research I identified there was a gap in the NZ protected cropping industry for this service.

In 2018 the website was re-launched along with the consultancy aspect of the business. We are fortunate that several highly credible companies believed in what we are offering, without the support of our website sponsors the Grower2Grower site would not be what it is today.

In 2021 Marie, my wife, came onboard in a full-time capacity to assist in expanding our services. We relaunched the site to improve engagement and add some additional functionality, to make interacting with Grower2Grower an easy and invaluable process.

Our monthly readership is growing at a phenomenal pace. Multiple articles have been republished on worldwide platforms and the site has visitors from over 100  countries around the world.

We truly believe what Grower2Grower offers will make any operation, within the protected cropping industry, a more productive and highly successful one.
