Horticentre Charitable Trust Continues as Exclusive Sponsor of Grower2Grower 2025

“Together we share a goal of offering future growers, and existing growers, a tool set, of credible trusted information, to achieve better outcomes”.
We are truly honoured to announce that the Horticentre Trust will continue as the Exclusive Sponsor of Grower2Grower for another twelve months. Together, we are committed to providing both future and current growers with a trusted set of resources and information to help them achieve better outcomes. Our focus is to collaborate with industry stakeholders, advocate for the protected cropping industry, highlight the opportunities it offers, and emphasise the benefits for those pursuing careers in horticulture.
One of the goals we accomplished last year was supporting the Young Horticulturist Competition, where we had the privilege of promoting the event and supporting its participants. I was honoured to serve as one of the speech judges for a second year.
Marie and I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Horticentre Trust Board for their ongoing sponsorship. Their support allows us to continue championing sustainable protected cropping in New Zealand, and we are excited about what the future holds.
What is the New Zealand Horticentre Trust?
2008 saw the establishment of The New Zealand Horticentre Trust, a Charitable Trust with the objective of providing “a helping hand for the horticulture and viticulture sectors”.
The Horticentre Charitable Trust supports these sector groups and growers in the promotion of education, training, research & development, grower welfare and disaster relief.
How does the Horticentre Charitable Trust receive its funding?
The trading members of the Group (Horticentre, TasmanCrop & HortFertplus) have two primary responsibilities:
- FUND GROWER INITIATIVES
Provide the NZ Horticentre Trust with an income stream that is used to fund grower initiatives that benefit horticulture and viticulture across New Zealand.
- BETTER RESULTS
Provide quality products and technical advice that creates the opportunity for the grower to achieve a better outcome.
What can I do to help funding streams available for horticulture and viticulture in New Zealand?
Your support of Horticentre, TasmanCrop and HortFertplus will enable these horticulture and viticulture supply companies to commit ongoing funds to the Horticentre Charitable Trust.
