Den Berk Délice improved production predictability and energy efficiency with Philips horticulture intelligent lighting

This system automatically controls LED lighting based on natural light levels

Eindhoven, NetherlandsSignify (Euronext: LIGHT), the world leader in lighting, has helped Den Berk Délice, a specialist in growing flavorful tomatoes, achieve more stable and continuous light conditions, benefiting both production and energy efficiency. This was accomplished by upgrading their lighting with Philips GreenPower LED toplighting force 2.0 (TLF 2.0). The upgrade significantly improves the growth of their premium tomatoes, resulting in stronger plants, better product quality, and a faster cultivation process.

Den Berk Délice can now adjust light levels as needed using TLF 2.0, combined with the Philips GrowWise control system. This system automatically controls LED lighting based on natural light levels, energy markets, and optimized cultivation recipes. The ability to fine-tune the light recipe ensures maximum efficiency and sustainability while also allowing Den Berk Délice to respond quickly to energy market opportunities.

For Den Berk Délice, the transition to the new LED modules has been smooth and efficient. Installation was quick and straightforward, thanks to the plug-and-play design of the new lighting system. The improved TLF 2.0 technology offers greater adaptability than the previous lighting solutions, allowing for more precise control over light levels and growing conditions.
