State of the art of the biological control of TPP
Recently Emiliano Veronesi and a team working with Lincoln University, published a review-article to summarize the state of the art of the biological control of TPP, worldwide and in NZ.
In doing so, we have discovered an unbalance between laboratory studies and field studies, which might partially explain why so many biological control programmes do not deliver as much as they were expected to.
The PDF attached covers the following:
- The tomato-potato psyllid – an overview of the pest
- The biological control of TPP
- Petri dish studies
- Cage studies
- Field/greenhouse studies
